Facebook's vice principal of messaging products, David Marcus, was quoted by the media as saying, 'Facebook is preparing to send voice texts experimentally. Through this service, Facebook users can easily exchange voice clips.'

Marcus also said, 'Suppose you are in a meeting or a concert. You think you can acquaint your friend with the atmosphere there. Then he sent a voice text from there. Your friend will know where you are by listening to the text.'
