Scientists say that when they stop forming, galaxies are lost at an early age. Then some galaxies die prematurely. And at a very young age billions of stars are destroyed, these galaxies formed by stars. But Australian scientists say why this happens, 'When the gas needed to create new stars runs out, some galaxies move towards death.'
Scientists say that two types of galaxies are found in this universe. One is 'blue' and the other is 'red'. A blue galaxy means new stars continue to be born there. Red galaxies, on the other hand, continue to form new stars.
Ivy Wong, a researcher at the University of Western Australia, has been researching the disappearance of galaxies for a long time. He says, "After two billion or 200 million years, the blue galaxy starts to turn red." Gradually they go to the brink of death. However, some galaxies die at an even younger age, i.e. within 1 billion years. As far as space is concerned that is very little time. The researchers obtained this result by analyzing different phases of 4 galaxies. This research article has been published in the journal 'Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society'.
