The crime of the girl named Jayanthi Kanu was to leave the family favorite and marry her lover. The father was angry with this behavior of the girl and so 'happened' and worshiped the girl. The incident took place on Valentine's Day in Jagacha, Howrah, West Bengal, India. Locals are shocked by this incident.

It is said that the reason why the girl's father did not accept his daughter's marriage is that Jayanthi Kanu had a love affair with Raju Sarkar, a resident of Dhowra. The lover is not well established. He does not have a good business or a big job. Family status and wealth are also lagging behind. The girl's father and family members rejected the girl's boyfriend on this argument. And so he quickly arranged his daughter's marriage after seeing the suitor. From wedding shopping to invitations, everything was done. But just a few days before the wedding, the young woman ran away from home and married her boyfriend.

His parents declared him dead the day he left home. After 12 days, they also organized the daughter's funeral. Incidentally, it happened on Saturday, the day of love, Valentine's Day.

According to the news media, on this day all the male members of the family are shaved in accordance with all the rules of cleanliness. As usual, the priest was called and the funeral of the young woman was performed. They even make pandals of white cloth and arrange food and drink for their relatives.

The police told the media that the young woman's father complained to the Jagacha police station that his minor daughter was abducted. After receiving the complaint, the police also went to the girl's in-laws house for investigation. But there the young woman showed her birth certificate and told the police that she turned eighteen two days ago. That's why the police have nothing more to do. But the parents were shocked to see such an act of honoring their living daughter.
