Nafakhum Falls of Bandarban is an amazing beauty

The picture you are looking at is the Bandarban Nafakhum Falls. It is called the Niagara of Bangladesh. Because it looks a lot like Niagara Falls.

Nafakhum Falls is a Marma-dominated area of Remakri in Thanchi Upazila of Bandarban District. 'Khum' means waterfall in Marma language.
A three-hour walk from Remakri leads to the amazingly beautiful waterfall 'Nafakhum'. Falling 25/30 feet down, this beautiful waterfall has been created by nature.

In the sunlight where a colorful rainbow plays everyday. A thousand and one color light is created in the sky. When the sun smiles behind the clouds, the sparkles of that smile spread over the entire mountain. Here the water of Kharsrot river washes away with the sound of kalkal. Nafakhum is nothing but a challenge for those who seek beauty in foreign lands. It is really hard to believe that our country can have such a beautiful place without seeing it. Seeing mountains, rivers and rocky canals, you will feel as if you are walking through the pages of a picture.

It is a very beautiful place. The sound of rushing water is loud all around. There is a state of losing the mind. That nature can take so many forms would not be believed without seeing. During the monsoons, the size of the fountain here is large. And it gets weaker in winter days. The true beauty of Nafakhum emerges during the months of September-October. A thick mist is formed around the fountain due to the water splashing from above. At this time, a wonderful scene took place. The flying water droplets floated along with the steam and landed on the bodies of the nearby tourists. It is an exciting feeling. It would not be wrong to call it the Niagara of Bengal.
