Little boys and girls are seen playing with dolls. Especially girls play with dolls more in childhood. In a word, one of the favorite toys in childhood is this doll game! But the doll I'm going to talk about today is mysterious and terrifying. 17 miles south of Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, in the district of Joquimilco is this terrifying 'doll island'. The mysterious journey of this island started from a simple incident. That incident happened about 90 to 95 years ago.
It is known that this island was cold and dark. Three Mexican children were playing with dolls on the island. They also marry dolls while playing. A child suddenly disappears while playing. Then the search began. After much searching, the dead body of the child was found in a nearby canal.
And since then, this island has become a terrifying and mysterious island for common people. Since then, various stories have been prevalent in people's mouths. When visiting this island, the chest of many brave heroes of Mexico trembled.
Dolls are hanging on tree branches in this mysterious and amazing island. Dolls are also hanging on the walls of small abandoned houses. Everywhere the eye goes there are only puppets and puppets. No one knows where so many dolls came to this deserted island. The name of the island in the local language is 'Ilsa de las Municas' or the island of dolls.
It is said that the dolls did not come to this island by themselves. A priest named Don Julian Santana chose the island for penance in the 1950s. He was begged by the dead child's spirit to bring many dolls and hang them around the island. But these are not ordinary dolls. The spirit of the child sits looking for all the creepy dolls, which look like they lost their lives to human torture. It was at the request of that spirit that Julian began to collect spoiled dolls from people in exchange for vegetables grown in his ashram. Bringing spoiled dolls and hanging them around the island would make the child's soul happy. This is how this island once developed as a mysterious island of dolls.
On April 21, 2001, another mysterious incident happened. That day Don Julian was fishing with his brother's son in the canal where the body of the child was found. At one point while fishing, Don Julian tells his nephew that someone is calling him from under the water. A few days later, Don Julian's body was found in the canal.
In this way, the story here became a mystery due to one incident after another. There are various stories about the island. And so people are still mysterious to this 'Ilsa de las Municas' or the island of dolls.
