IS has released 2 Bangladeshis kidnapped in Libya. However, the Bangladeshi embassy in Libya's Tripoli has not yet confirmed the news. The Islamic State (IS) kidnapped two Bangladeshi nationals in Libya on March 6. The abducted persons are Md. Anwar Hossain (passport no. A3630754) resident of Noakhali and another Bangladeshi citizen named Helal Uddin (passport no. B-0156553) from his village Jamalpur.
On March 6, these two Bangladeshi citizens were abducted by militants along with 9 others while working in an oil field located south of the city of Sirte in the north-central part of Libya. The company where they worked confirmed the matter. However, the Bangladeshi embassy has not yet confirmed the matter. A few days before that, someone called his relatives and told them about the release.
