Recently, an NDTV reporter and some members of the Child Rights Commission investigated the issue of child trafficking. They go to the remote areas of Nalgonda district and look for babies to buy. Only half an hour later they found children for purchase. They were informed about these girls for sale in a government-run home. After two days they found a 2 month old baby named Bhavani. Tell them that they can buy Bhavani for 30 thousand rupees. This information was given in a report of NDTV.
They said that after reaching the place called Debrakonda, the local autorickshaw driver took them to the children's home. A middleman there said, you can buy any baby you want from here. There were 8/10 more girls. If the children don't like it, they will be sent pictures of other children through WhatsApp or e-mail. Again there are brokers for buying and selling these children.
Kamli Bai, one of these brokers, said that it would take 50,000 rupees to buy a child worth 30,000 rupees. Later, the delegation bought Shishu Bhavani with that amount of money. While learning the news of child trade, the delegation also learned that couples who have many girls hoping for a boy, sell their girl child here. Again, there are many children who are born unexpectedly. However, after the news was published in the media, the Chief Minister of the state Mohammad Mahmud Ali said that legal action will be taken on the issue of child trafficking. He said that the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare has been given the responsibility to investigate the matter. The law enforcement agencies of the state have come under heavy criticism due to the revelation of such horrific cases of child trafficking almost openly in modern society.
