Nepal Earthquake: Financial assistance can be done through Facebook

The worst earthquake in recorded history has caused a major disaster in Nepal. After the earthquake, social networking sites launched various tools to help the victims. After the earthquake, Facebook launched a safety check option. On the other hand, Google has launched Person Finder option for missing people.

The capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, has announced a fundraiser to help victims after a powerful earthquake struck. It has been informed that up to 2 million dollars can be given through this assistance. Facebook calls this support matching funds.

A donation message has also reportedly been added to Facebook's news feed. There users are requested to provide financial support. This money can also be sent through Facebook Messenger.

These donations will go directly to the fund of the International Medical Corporation through Facebook given by the people of the world. From there, financial assistance will be sent to regional non-governmental organizations and hospitals in Nepal to help people affected by the earthquake. Facebook has launched 'Safety Check Option' to find out who is safe after the earthquake.

It should be noted that hundreds of thousands of people have already given a safety check through Facebook that they are safe so far after the earthquake in Nepal.
