Using the radiocarbon dating method of age determination, it has been found that the recovered pages of the Qur'an date back to 1,370 years ago. As such, these are the oldest handwritten pages of any Qur'an that have survived to this day.
It is to be noted that the pages of the most sacred books of Muslims were lying in the library of the University of Birmingham for almost a hundred years, which the librarians knew nothing about.
