It should be noted that the work of solar power project at Cochin International Airport was taken up from March 2013. First, solar panels with a power generation capacity of only 100 kilowatts were installed on the roof of the arrival terminal. Kolkata-based Vikram Solam Pvt Ltd is responsible for installing the panels. After the successful operation of solar power, the airport authority gradually started installing solar panels in other parts of the airport.
