To the north and north-west lies the Indian state of Tripura. Rangamati hill district in east and south-east. It is bounded by Chittagong district to the southwest and the Feni river to the west and the Tripura state district of India. There are vast plains of sky-hills Mithali, Chengi and Maini valleys and diversity of tribal culture in this region.
