The Dhaka Times Desk The world's shortest tiny person has died. The world's smallest man Chandra Bahadur Dangi of Nepal died in a hospital in Pago Pago, the capital of Samoa Islands in the United States.
Chandra Bahadur Dangi, who died on Friday morning at the age of 75, was just 1 foot 9.5 inches (or 54.6 cm) tall. In 2012, his name was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the smallest person.
Chandra Bahadur lived in a remote village 400 km from Kathmandu in Nepal. However, after the Guinness Book recognized him as the shortest person in the world, he got the opportunity to travel around the world. In 2013, Chandra Bahadur took a picture with the world's tallest man, Sultan Kosen, in London. We published that news along with pictures in The Dhaka Times a few days ago.
It should be noted that before Chandra Bahadur of Nepal, Janre Balawing, a citizen of the Philippines with a height of 23.59 inches, was recognized as the world's most petite person.
