Oscar nominated movie 'Muhammad (PBUH)'

The Dhaka Times Desk The highly talked about Iranian film 'Muhammad (PBUH): The Messenger of God' received an Oscar nomination within a short period of its release.

Famous Iranian director Majid Majidi's film 'Muhammad (PBUH): The Messenger of God' is going to Oscar. The world's most talked about film will represent Iran at the 88th Oscars. However, this film was nominated for an Oscar shortly after its release.

This film is based on the first part of the life of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), the last prophet of Islam. It is the most expensive film in Iran. About 40 million dollars were spent on this film.

About the film, director Majidi said, 'He made this film mainly to eliminate the 'violent character' of Islam created by various militant groups.

This big budget film has worked with renowned technical experts from different countries of the world. Cinematography by three-time Oscar winner Vittorio Storero of Italy. Indian Oscar-winning music director AR Rahman has worked on music composition.

Even before the release of this film, a lot of discussion started. The autobiographical film of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) set a record on its first day of release.
