The cancer-stricken singer stood by the recognition

The Dhaka Times Desk Many people including popular singer Asif Akbar have stood by his side for the treatment of cancer-stricken singer Akbar. The countrymen have been urged to stand by him.

Asif Akbar has donated a song titled 'Eka Eka Lage' to mobile operator Grameenphone for the medical assistance of cancer-stricken singer Akbar. All proceeds from the song's Welcome Tune will go to the Cancer Awareness Fund. By adopting this tune, artists with cancer are calling for recognition. Sabina Yasmin, Runa Laila, Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul and many others have already stood by this artist.

According to news media, the song can be set as welcome tune by pressing *4000*280# from Grameenphone number. The lyrics of the song are written by Rajib Ahmed and composed by Ashiqur Rahman Chowdhury. Mushfiq Litu is in the music composition.

In the playback of the movie 'Action Jasmine', Akshakar sang the last song. He has given his voice in at least 500 songs in Bengali films.
In addition to this, Akbar has released 7 solo albums and over fifty mix albums. Musician Shahnaz Rahman made his debut as a listed musician in Bangladesh Betar and Television in 1999.

It should be noted that musician Shahnaz Rahman is diagnosed with incurable blood cancer. After falling seriously ill, he was admitted to Bamrungrad Hospital in Bangkok for treatment on August 24. The doctors there said that if he gets better treatment, he will recover. But he needs a lot of money for his treatment.
