According to a news published in the media, in Indonesia, it is proposed to make an entire island a prison and guard it with crocodiles for those sentenced to death for various crimes including drug selling, smuggling. Budi Waseso, head of Indonesia's anti-narcotics agency, made the proposal.
Budi Waseso says, 'Crocodiles are often better guards than humans because they cannot be bribed.'
Waseso told a local Indonesian website, "After building an island-prison, we will guard as many crocodiles as possible."
Budi Waseso also said, 'He will travel to different parts of the island nation to find the deadliest and most ferocious crocodiles.' It is known that execution of death penalty in drug-related cases in Indonesia has been stopped for the last 4 years, but this restriction was withdrawn in 2013.
It is understood that the plan to build an island-prison is still in very early stage. Where and when this might be done is yet to be decided.
Note that Indonesia is one of the countries in the world that have very strict anti-drug laws.
