200-year-old Royal Mail coach auction!

Reportedly, this is the last surviving Royal Mail coach. The auctioned Royal Mail coach is expected to sell for £70,000. It is known that after a lion attacked this coach in the early 1800s, it ended up in the museum. This historic Royal Mail coach can also be seen on the cover of various Christmas cards.

The 200-year-old horse-drawn Royal Mail is estimated to sell for a little more than Tk 81 lakh 40 thousand in Bangladeshi taka.

According to various historical data, this coach was very important in the golden age. With the arrival of the Royal Mail, the time of the town clock could have been determined. Crowds of people would gather on the road to see the Royal Mail speeding by. And if the drivers were a minute late then the postal workers had to pay a fine.

It is known that the red-black wooden wagon was better known as 'Quicksilver'. Because this was the fastest coach. The Quicksilver ran daily from London to Falmouth in Cornwall.

It is known that it is attacked by a lion. And then immediately the drivers got down and went to a nearby bar and took shelter. Later, its owner was able to drive the lion away with the help of his dog. Then the postal workers squeezed into the wagon. That night their mail was 45 minutes late. This is a brief history of Quicksilver.

It was no longer used after the lion attack. Later, this Royal Mail coach was preserved for many years in the Yorkshire Transport Museum. This is the one that came up for auction. It is known that the coach will be sold on December 10. Its potential selling price is estimated at £50,000 to £70,000.
