It is a city in Mazree Sharif, northern Afghanistan and the capital of Balkh province. It is located near the city of Balkh. The city is known as a trading center and an important pilgrimage site in the Afghan Turkestan region. Built in the 15th century, this mosque of the city is believed to have the tomb of Hazrat Ali (RA), the son-in-law of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
