Farhana filed a case against her husband on January 28 in Dhaka's women and children's court. Following this, on Monday morning, wife Farhana Hossain Rumi surrendered and sought bail in the case of torture and attempted murder due to dowry filed in Dhaka's Special Tribunal for Women and Child Torture.

Dilruba Sharmin, the lawyer of the plaintiff in the case, told Prothom Alo, "The case has been filed under section 11(b) of the Women and Children Suppression Act." A report was filed against him after a judicial inquiry. He surrendered and applied for bail. But the Women and Children Court-4 rejected it and ordered to send him to jail. If convicted, Munnar faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

Mohammedan Sporting Club and several reliable sources have confirmed the matter. Mohammedan director Sarwar Hossain said, “As far as I know, Munna has been arrested. I don't know more than that."

It is to be noted that on January 4, wife Farhana went to Mohammadpur police station to file a case against her husband Munna. As the police did not take the case, he filed a case in the court. Case number-138/13. When the charges brought against Munna were proven in the judicial investigation, an arrest warrant was issued against him!
