According to media reports, the police brought a person named Arif Ullah Munshi to the court for questioning in police custody in the case of gold smuggling. The court also ordered his remand. But before that, the 'proof' came out.
On Monday, 4 gold bars came out with Arif's faeces in the toilet of Dhaka's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court. After the incident happened in the afternoon, there was laughter among the policemen on duty in the jail. They said, "The defendant has laid golden eggs"!
Arif Munshi (36) of Sultanpur village of Brahmanbaria was arrested from Shahjalal Airport last Sunday. A case under the Special Powers Act was also filed against Arif Munsi in connection with gold smuggling. The investigating officer of the case brought Arif Munshi to the Hakim court in Dhaka on Monday.
