Another winter pitha is Rasapitha. However, this pitha is called Dhupipita in many regions. This pita made of rice flour is called Rasapitha because it is soaked in juice.
We used to watch this rasapitha being made when we were kids. This pita soaked in date jaggery juice is very delicious. This pitha can be called our village-Bangla tradition. Now these pitas are not seen as before. But city people buy this pitha and eat it dry. That is, with different fillings. Like- Mustard Bharta, Shutki Bharta, Coriander Bharta etc.
But however this pitha is eaten, the only best pitha is the ras pitha. Pitha soaked in juice is the best pitha. Which is still popular in our country in the villages especially during this winter to make this pitha. Thanks to its photographer for such a beautiful picture this morning.
