According to media sources, disabled Arifa Khatun is an SSC candidate. This year, he is participating in the examination from the humanities branch of Fulgach High School, Lalmonirhat Sadar.
Lalmonirhat Govt Boys High School Center has given 20 minutes extra time for this disabled examinee.
Arifa Khatun, the youngest of 5 siblings, is very focused on studies.
It is known that this Arifa Khatun is the daughter of day laborer Abdul Ali of Khodarpul Shahitari village of Sadar Upazila. He is struggling to educate his disabled daughter.
Arifa Khatun passed the fifth standard from the local Raipara BRAC primary school and got admitted to Fulgach High School. Arifa, who ranks fifth in the merit list, will do well in the SSC exam - that's what Arifa's teachers, classmates, neighbors and her parents believe.
Shahjahan Ali, head teacher of Fulgach High School, said that Arifa Khatun, physically challenged, is studying because of her indomitable desire. Arifa dreams of becoming highly educated and established. Overcoming a life of poverty and disability, Arifa is determined to one day make her cherished dream a reality.
