Alcatel announced their new tab around the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Since this tab has a separate keyboard dock, the 10-inch tab can be used like a laptop.
However, this tablet of Windows 10 operating system is called a two-in-one tablet. It has some additional advantages over two-in-one. According to a report on the technology website Mashable, this new tab of Alcatel called 'Plus Ten' has a 1.92 GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor and 2 GB of RAM. It also has 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card.
The 10 inch screen of this tab has only 1280×800 pixels resolution but it is an IPS display. Its viewing angle is definitely several times better than any non-IPS display. And that being said, its display is competitive with Retina displays.
The front of this new tab has two speakers and a 5-megapixel rear camera. And there is also a 2 megapixel front camera.
The real fun of this new tab is that with this tab you will be given another keyboard. Usually you can use it like a very normal tab without the keyboard. Connecting this keyboard basically turns this device into a laptop. If you want, the keyboard can be used as a stand if you turn it around and put it behind the screen instead of in front of the screen. And then you can watch movies or TV comfortably! That is, this new tablet can be used in three ways. That is why it is called three in one.
The tab has a 5830 mAh battery. But since the keyboard dock has a separate 2850 mAh battery, it makes a combined 8140 mAh capacity. It also has a built-in 4G LTE modem (150 Mbps). You can create hotspot through it. It will be possible to connect another mouse or external hard disk through the keyboard dock's full-size USB port.
Alcatel has yet to say anything about the price of the new Tab Plus Ten. It is expected to be much cheaper. The tab is expected to be available in Latin America, the Middle East and Africa in June.
