India won the toss and invited Sri Lanka to bat in the seventh match of the tournament. Sri Lanka collected 138 runs after losing 9 wickets at the end of scheduled 20 overs.
In response, India went down to bat in the second half and won easily by 5 wickets. Virat Kohli scored the highest runs for India. This batsman played a great innings of 56 runs off 47 balls. On the other hand, Kapugedara scored the maximum 30 runs for Sri Lanka.
Virat Kohli was selected as Man of the Match.
