300 years ago corpse CT scan!

The Dhaka Times Desk A mother and son died 300 years ago. However, the actual cause of death is not known. So to find out the reason, after 300 years, a CT scan of the mother and son's mummy was done.

In 1994, about 250 ancient mummies were recovered from a cemetery near a church in the European country of Hungary. The coffins of several of them were still intact. Those mummies were very well preserved. The mummy of this mother and son is found there. The 38-year-old mother's name at the time of death was Veronica Skripetz. His one-year-old son is named Johan.

Looking at the recovered mummies, many questions arise in the minds of researchers and scientists. How and why so many mummies came to the same place? Moreover, how did they die? Why were the mummies kept in the church? CT scans of those mummies are being done 300 years after death to find answers to those questions.

Initially, it is assumed that the mother and son contracted tuberculosis. Because at that time there was an outbreak of tuberculosis in Europe. But scanning will also try to know the details of what actually happened 300 years ago i.e. 1800.

Trying to know how people's lifestyle was actually at that time through the 3-D image examination of CT scan. Scientists will also try to find out what exactly caused their death.

According to a report by CBS Los Angeles, an exhibition has been organized with the recovered mummies. The results of the CT scan test will be published at the exhibition.
