The Dhaka Times Desk The United Nations Security Council has warned that the Islamic State IS is close to the Nigerian armed rebel group Boko Haram.

According to a statement of the United Nations Security Council, this group has established relations with IS since 2015. This group is regularly disrupting peace and order in West and Central Africa.
According to the BBC, a US official said that Boko Haram fighters are fighting alongside IS in Libya.
A statement signed by 15 UN Security Council countries warned everyone about Boko Haram.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken told the BBC, 'The US has substantial evidence that Boko Haram forces are moving into Libya.'
He said, 'Recently we have noticed that the communication of Boko Haram has increased effectively. They are probably also benefiting from the support of IS.'
