The picture you are looking at is the historic Farhat Pasha Jame Mosque. This mosque is located in the Serb-dominated area of Bosnia.
Located in a Serb-dominant area of Bosnia, this mosque was recently inaugurated after rebuilding a mosque destroyed during the war.
This historic mosque was officially opened on May 7 after 23 years. This mosque in historic Banyaluka was destroyed during the war in the former Yugoslavia.
It took about 15 years to rebuild this mosque. However, only two-thirds of the stone of the original mosque could be restored. This mosque is still working.
Note that during the war, many mosques in Baniyaluka were demolished. At this time, most of the Muslims were forced to leave the area. Bosnian Muslims claim that the Serbs destroyed at least 614 mosques during the war!
