The story of an old village where young people do not get married!

A strange village has been discovered. There are many educated marriageable men and women throughout the village. However, most of them have not been lucky enough to get married. Even if the age increases, the husband or the bride does not reach their fate. There is only one reason for this, people from outside villages do not want to marry with the residents here.

Charmeghna is a village in the Indian state of West Bengal. Bangladesh is on three sides of the village of Hogleberia Panchayat, block number one of Karimpur, Nadia district of West Bengal. Three villages of Bangladesh are Mayarampur, Jamalpur and Bil Gerua in East, West and South of Charmeghna respectively. Only India is on one side of the village. For this reason, the Indian Border Guard Force (BSF) does not allow anyone to enter or exit the village of Charmeghna without proof of security.

There is a fixed time limit for traveling to this extreme village. Outsiders have to get permission from the BSF to enter the village of Chrameghana after making a formal apology. Every day from 6 am to 6 pm to enter or leave the village of Charmeghna voter card must be submitted to BSF!

Because of such strict security, no one from outside usually wants to enter the village of Charmeghna. There are no exemptions for marriages, though there are some relaxations for the villagers in relation to diseases. Clearance is given only after the detailed information of where, for what purpose, who, why wants to enter the village is recorded with the BSF. That's why outsiders have to face many problems to enter or leave this village to meet girls or boys. And for this reason, no one outside wants to marry their sons and daughters in this extreme village on the India-Bangladesh border.

It is known that the total population of Charmeghna village is about 850, out of which 545 are voters. But a large proportion of the inhabitants are educated and marriageable youth. But because of this strict security, many people are single.
