Zakir Naik's son is under police surveillance in India

The Dhaka Times Desk According to an Indian newspaper, Fariq, the son of the world-famous Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, is under the surveillance of the Mumbai police in India.

21-year-old Fariq is also an Islamic preacher like his father. He has also been making important statements about Islam on Peace TV and other media.

Police officials are now scrutinizing Fariq Naik's video and statements, Economic Times reported. They will look into whether these are related to terrorism, the report said.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra police have examined Zakir Naik's statements and videos and found nothing objectionable. Due to which it was not possible to file a case against Zakir Naik.

It is to be noted that after the news that the two terrorists involved in the Gulshan attack in Dhaka had listened to the speech of Zakir Naik, various criticisms started about him. Zakir Naik is currently touring Africa. Zakir Naik wants to hold a press conference but is unable to do so due to lack of space. However, he claimed to be innocent and said that the accusations against him of aiding in sectarianism are baseless.
