BREAKING NEWS: Indian plane with 29 on board goes missing

The Dhaka Times Desk An Indian Air Force plane is missing with 29 people on board. Contact with the plane was lost just 15 minutes after take off from Tambaram, Chennai at 8 am local time today (Friday).

The AN-32 aircraft was supposed to land at Port Blair in Andaman, airline officials said. The aircraft was primarily used to transport Air Force personnel. 15 minutes into the flight, communication with the control tower was completely lost. Following the incident, the Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard launched a search operation for the plane. A helicopter has been sent to the area by the Navy to investigate whether the plane crashed in the Bay of Bengal.

It is to be noted that in 1999, a plane belonging to this tribe was involved in an accident. The plane flew in the sky with 21 people. It collapsed just before landing at Delhi airport. The Indian Air Force has at least a hundred aircraft of the AN-32 model.
