The Dhaka Times Desk Popular actress Jaya Ahsan has now commented on militants. About the militants, Jaya said, 'They are exaggerating about Islam'.
Jaya Ahsan popular actress of Upper Bengal is equally popular in Upper Bengal as well. Acting in a few named movies like 'Awart', 'Rajkahini' caught everyone's attention.
Now the movie 'Eagle's Eye' starring Jaya is releasing in Kolkata. The actress gave an interview to an Indian media about this. Apart from movies, Jaya also talked about terrorist attacks in different countries including Bangladesh.
Jaya has now commented on militants. He said, the militants claim to be Muslims, they are exaggerating about Islam. Showing the ugliness of Islam. What they say or what they do is not Islam. In fact, Islam is being distorted. But it is possible to build resistance with the right Islam. He said, Islam is a beautiful religion. In a country like ours, people need religious beliefs.
Jaya said, this ugliness is not Islam, correct Islam says otherwise. The greatest strength of Islam is that there is no class distinction among people. A rich man and a poor man sit side by side in the mosque. Our religion has examples of eating rice from the same plate. The main strength of Islam is in that place. That is, standing before God, everyone is one. There is no difference between a rich man and a beggar. The essence of Islam is what needs to be explained to the new generation.
You believe in religion. What religion do you follow? In response to such questions, Jaya told the media, 'I definitely believe in religion. But not strict. I can't pray all the time, but I try. Prayer is a meditation. Nothing could be better than that. I want to pray five times. In fact, Bangladesh is such a place, I saw such a picture there, there is an Eid congregation, 40 orthodox youths are standing guard, and Muslims are praying. Nothing can be more beautiful than this. We literally believe in secularism. It is very unfortunate that some things are happening.'
It should be noted that another Bangladeshi actress, Nusrat Faria, who acted in Opar Bengal, also commented after the Gulshan incident. He said, in view of the situation, it seems, 'I can also be a target of militants.'
