The Dhaka Times Desk We know that humans abandoned cave living long ago. But still one or two news is heard from time to time. A man in Argentina has been living in a cave for 40 years!
The man who lives in a cave in Argentina is called Pedro Luca. He is 79 years old. Although there is not much forest, he lives by hunting. His point is, one stomach, so there is no shortage of prey. There is no mains water, no electricity, if you feel thirsty you drink water from the shower. This is how the man spent 40 long years in a mountain cave in Tucuman province in the north of Argentina.
Whenever he felt hungry, he picked up his favorite rifle. Then he went out in search of prey.
Pedro Lucer's main source of drinking water is water from a creek.
Pedro Luca said, 'When the water is absolutely wobbly, it tastes good too.' 11 chickens and two goats live with him in the cave. They roam here and there in the mountains all day long. At night it returns to the cave in search of shelter. They are also afraid of attacks by puma and other predators!
Pedro Luca wakes up early in the morning with the rooster crowing. Then light the fire. The warmth of the fire spread throughout the cave. At that time he felt very comfortable, 'fire is like a magic. The heart is also filled with its warmth.'
There is nothing fancy about Pedro Luca's cave. But there is a small battery operated radio. But don't get time to play it. And even if it rings, it rings. The signal is not good on the hills.
Pedro Luca walks for at least three hours every day. To reach the cave one has to climb the mountain slope. His skin is slightly wrinkled with age. A few teeth have fallen out. Still, he looks much younger than 80 years old.
Pedro Luca said, 'I like the solitary life very much. Better to taste the wild life. In fact, I wanted such a life since childhood. He grew up with his grandfather. He left home in search of livelihood at the age of 14. Pedro Luca went first to northern Argentina, then to Bolivia with a job transporting coal.
Pedro Luca said in the interview, 'I have never asked myself why I chose such a place. There is another cave nearby. But this is what I like best.' Pedro Luca also spoke about his desire, 'Sometimes I think, if I could go back and see the world, it would be very nice.'
This is how 40 years have passed in a cave in Argentina. The question of whether Pedro Luca will spend the rest of his life in the cave or return to normal life has not been answered by him. He was silent on such a question!
