HSC 2016: All 25 educational institutions fail!

The Dhaka Times Desk The pass rate is higher this year than last year. Again, the GPA rate has also increased, yet all of the country's 25 educational institutions have failed!

Today (Thursday) HSC and equivalent exam result 2016 has been published. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the copy of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the morning. At this time, the Education Minister said that all 25 educational institutions have failed in the HSC and equivalent examinations this year.

The education minister said that the number of educational institutions that passed zero last year was 35. Compared to last year, the number of zero passing institutions has decreased by 10.

This time, the average pass rate in the HSC examination in 8 general education boards, madrasas and technical boards across the country is 74.70 percent. The pass rate in the Madrasa Board is 88.19 percent and the pass rate in the Technical Education Board is 84.57 percent.

This time pass rate is higher than last time. Last year the average pass percentage was 69.60 percent. Therefore, the pass rate has increased by 5.10 percent compared to last year. 58 thousand 276 people got GPA 5 this year. A total of 42 thousand 894 people got GPA-5 last year.

This year the HSC and equivalent exams started and ended on April 3 22 June. According to the rules of the Ministry of Education, the rule is to declare the result within 60 days. The authorities are trying to protect that rule. This time, a total of 12 lakh 18 thousand 628 candidates participated in the examination in eight general education boards, Madrasas and technical boards. Compared to last year, the number of candidates has increased by 1 lakh 44 thousand 744.
