The Dhaka Times Desk A Bangladeshi named Obaidur Rahman was sentenced to death by a court in India's Uttar Pradesh for his involvement in the 2005 Shramjeevi Express train bombing.

According to Hindustan Times, Additional Sessions Judge Buddhiram Yadav of India's Jainpur Court announced this verdict last Tuesday.
According to the news, on July 28, 2005, 12 passengers were killed when a bomb exploded in a compartment of Shramjivi Express near Harpalganj station. 60 people were injured in that incident.
It should be noted that the main accused in this case, another Bangladeshi, Mohammad Alamgir, was also sentenced to death earlier by the court.
