Dhan Majhi was carrying his wife's body on his neck. Her daughter was walking beside her wiping her eyes. On that day, he could not arrange a vehicle to take his dead wife to the village house, 60 km from the state hospital in Handi. The hospital did not give the car even after many requests. Because he had no money to pay the rent.

After walking about ten kilometers with the dead body on his shoulders, he caught the eye of a local TV channel reporter. He called the district magistrate and arranged to bring the car. The news is spread around the world in the media. That rich man is in the news again.

King Hamad bin Isha Al Khalifa of Bahrain came to know about his plight in the newspaper. He decided to extend a helping hand to Dhan Majhi. A check of around 9 lakh rupees sent by the King reached the Bahrain Embassy in Delhi. Dhan Majhi went to Delhi for the first time in his life last Thursday to take that check!

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Bahrain also provided financial assistance. Some MLAs of Odisha also handed over money to him. Help has also been received from the local administration. An educational institution for tribal children in the capital Bhubaneswar has taken responsibility for lifelong education of Dhan Majhi's three daughters. He boarded the plane to Delhi after enrolling the girls in that school. He was wearing a blue lungi and an old shirt even when he went to collect the raja's cheque. That towel on the shoulder.

Dhan Majhi showed the blue check to the Bahraini embassy media. The amount of money written in that check of Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait is 8,87,949.

Dhan Majhi told the media that he will keep all this money as a long-term deposit in the bank, so that he can spend for his daughters' education. Dhan Majhi wants his daughters to become policemen or doctors.
