Munna Bhai (Sanjay Dutt) is now in jail!

The Dhaka Times Desk 257 people were killed and 713 injured in the 1993 Mumbai blasts. In 1994, an Indian court sentenced Sanjay Dutt to 5 years rigorous imprisonment for illegal possession of arms in that blast case. Sanjay has already served one and a half years in prison. সঞ্জয়কে ১৬ মে বৃহস্পতিবারের মধ্যে আত্মসমর্পণের নির্দেশ দেন আদালত।সঞ্জয় সুপ্রিম কোর্টের রায় পুনর্বিবেচনার জন্য ১০ মে, শুক্রবার, আপিল করেন কিন্তু তা নাকচ হয়ে যায়। যেহেতু এতদিন সঞ্জয় আত্মসমর্পণ করেননি, তাই অনেকেই ধারণা করেন তিনি বৃহস্পতিবার আদালতে আত্মসমর্পণ করবেন। এবং ঘটনাও ঠিক তাই ঘটেছে। সেই কারণে সঞ্জয়ের বান্দ্রার বাড়িতেও অনেকে ভিড় করেন সঞ্জয়কে এক পলক দেখতে। এসময় সঞ্জয় এর সাথে অনেক বলিউড তারকা দেখা করতে আসেন। সঞ্জয়ের আত্মসমর্পণের জন্য আদালতে যাত্রার সময় সঙ্গে ছিলেন স্ত্রী মান্যতা, বোন প্রিয়া দত্ত, পরিচালক মহেশ ভাটসহ পারিবারিক বন্ধুরা। আদালতে যাওয়ার পথে তিনি সিদ্ধিবিনায়ক মন্দির ঘুরে আসেন।সঞ্জয় দত্ত আত্মসমর্পণ করছে – এ খবরে আদালত প্রাঙ্গণে ব্যাপক ভক্ত সমর্থকের জটলার সৃষ্টি হয়। সমর্থকদের ভিড়ে সঞ্জয় ও তার সাথীদের আদালতে প্রবেশ করতে বেশ বেগ পেতে হয়।
