The Dhaka Times Desk Bangladesh CNG Filling Station and Petrol Pump Owners Association has called off the strike called by CNG (Converted Natural Gas) filling stations from today (October 30).
Yesterday (Saturday) at the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) headquarters, the announcement of the withdrawal of the strike was made after a meeting with the Minister of Road Transport and Bridges and the Ministry of Energy and Power, the Minister of State.
In that meeting, two separate committees were formed to review the demands of the organizations calling for the strike. CNG filling station owners called for an indefinite strike from today (October 30) on various demands, including canceling the decision to increase the lease fee of the Roads and Highways Department.
The two committees will report within the next two months. It has been informed that the government will take necessary measures accordingly.
