The Dhaka Times Desk In the city of Fukuoka, Japan, a part of the highway suddenly gave way on Tuesday morning and created a huge hole.
According to the BBC, a section of highway suddenly gave way around 5 a.m. Tuesday morning near Hakata Station in Fukuoka, a busy city on the southern island of Kyushu, creating a 30-meter hole.
No casualty has been reported so far in the incident, but electricity, gas and water supply lines under the road have reportedly been broken.
Japan's national broadcaster Nippon Haso Kyokai (NHK) said there were no reports of accidents after the incident, other than an elderly woman who was injured when she slipped down a flight of stairs due to a power outage.
A subway line was under construction near the accident site. Experts believe that the highway may have given way in the landslide.
