Lalua UP Chairman Rezaul Karim Biswas told the media that only 550 people in his union can get 10 kg of rice in the allotted amount. But the affected people are at least one thousand.
On the other hand, Nilganj UP chairman said that 5,800 families were affected in his union but only five and a half tons of rice was allocated on Sunday morning. Only 20 kg of rice can be given to 275 families. Because of this, the affected people of the village have become angry for relief.
Kalapara Upazila Nirbahi Officer (in charge) and Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Md. Mahbubur Rahman said that the list of people affected by Mahasen's rampage has been completed. Necessary relief will be given to every affected person.
Kalapara upazila administration has confirmed that 17 thousand 255 families have been partially and completely damaged in Kuakata municipality and 4 neighboring unions. Among the list were 1815 families of Kuakata municipality, 6 thousand 500 families in Latachapali union, 3 thousand 600 families in Mahipur union, 2 thousand 200 families in Dalbuganj union, 3 thousand 140 families in Dhulasar union. 1800 families have come under relief.
