The Dhaka Times Desk The only Test of the Bangladesh-India series is starting today at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, India. Bangladesh is going to play a Test on Indian soil for the first time.
Bangladesh captain Mushfiqur Rahim is standing on the verge of touching two milestones before this Test.
Mushfiqur has played 51 matches in Test career so far. He has 81 catches and 11 stampings as a wicketkeeper. In other words, his total number of dismissals behind the wicket is 92. He will become the first Bangladeshi to own 100 dismissals in Tests only if he can make 8 more dismissals in Hyderabad Test.
Mushfiqur has a chance to touch the milestone with the bat as well. Mushfiq scored 2922 runs in 94 innings of 51 Tests. If he can score another 78 runs, he will touch the milestone of 3000 runs in the Test format as the fourth Bangladeshi.
