The country's court sentenced the woman to 7 years on charges of treason. However, the woman named Oksana Sivastidi was released from Moscow's Lefortovo prison on Sunday morning.

Earlier, in 2008, he texted a Georgian friend that Russian tanks were advancing toward the country. That is why he was charged with treason in Russia.

However, during the trial, this woman denied all the charges brought against her, saying that in August 2008, Georgia and Russia were at war, when the movement to separate from Georgia began in South Ossetia. At that time, when Russian tanks entered South Ossetia, thousands of Georgian citizens living there fled their homes.

Later, Russia also recognized the separatist regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia as independent states in Georgia. However, Oksana Sivastidi refused to comment on the matter as she left the court after receiving Putin's pardon on Sunday.
