Hazrat Baba Adam Shaheed (RA) Mosque of Munshiganj

The picture you are looking at is the mosque of Hazrat Baba Adam Shaheed (RA) in Munshiganj. It is a historical mosque. There are many legends about the mosque.

A 6-domed mosque of the Sultanate period is located in Kazi Kasba village near the historic Rampal village of Bikrampur in Munshiganj district. There is a shrine just a few yards ahead of it. The shrine is a 25 (twenty-five) feet square-shaped mausoleum on a brick platform.

It is known that the mosque is built on a rectangular foundation. It measures 43 feet north-south and 36 feet east-west. There are four octagonal towers or minarets at the four corners. But the minaret did not rise above the cornice of the roof. The steps of the minaret are decorated with graceful ring-shaped bulging lines.

This inscription in Tughra script shows that this mosque was built in 1483 AD. Built by an owner named Kafur or a government official. The Bengali translation of the inscription is, "Almighty Allah said, 'Surely the mosque is the property of Allah, do not associate anyone with Allah.' The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Whoever builds a mosque, Allah Ta'ala builds for him a palace in heaven" during the reign of Sultan Jalal-ud-Din Fateh Shah, son of Sultan Mohammad Shah, the great Malik Kafur, who built this Jama Masjid, right in the middle of the month of Rajab 888 Hijri.

It can be seen that the name of the founder of the mosque is given in the inscription - Kafur. As it was built during the reign of Sultan, it has the name of Sultan Jalal Uddin Fateh Shah, son of Sultana Mohammad Shah along with his father's name. The date of establishment is in the middle of the Rajab month of 888 Hijri. The name of the mosque is Jami Masjid. There is a reason why it is established - to achieve perfection. That is, all the information related to the construction of the mosque is there. There is no mention of Father Adam, no mention of any shrine.
