The Dhaka Times Desk Following Daylight Saving Time (DST) or the practice of using sunlight, the clocks were brought forward one hour in Portugal.

On March 26 (Sunday) at 1:00 p.m. local time, clocks in Portugal were brought forward one hour to 2:00 a.m., according to media reports.

It is customary in various European countries to move the clocks forward every year in order to increase the working hours by using the sunlight during the summer. And this work was done by following that policy.

Meanwhile, the time difference between Bangladesh and Portugal has decreased by one hour to 5 hours due to the clock moving forward. Previously, the time difference between Bangladesh and this European country was 6 hours.

On the other hand, on the same day (March 26), another country in Europe, Italy, is also supposed to move the clock forward by one hour. In the country on this day, 2 am local time is supposed to be one hour ahead of 3 am.
