According to media reports, this Taliban leader joined the Islamic State after the 'Zarb-e-Azab' army operation in 2014. Last Monday, Pakistan Army spokesman Asif Ghafoor said that this is a great achievement of Pakistan. “I would like to inform that former spokesperson of TTP and leader of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar Eshanullah Ehsan has surrendered to our security agencies. Our biggest 'enemy is surrendering', he said.
He also said that 15 'Rad-ul-Fasad' operations were conducted against this militant organization from February. In this operation, 108 militants were killed and 4,510 suspects were arrested. So far 161 militants have been sentenced to death. He also expressed that the saboteurs will be destroyed to enhance and improve the security of Pakistan.
