The Dhaka Times Desk Every healthy person thinks about death at least a few times a day. There are not many people who do not worry about how, when and what will happen after death.
The matter has come up in the research paper published in the newspaper. The researchers gave this opinion by observing the written ideas of death travelers and ordinary people.
Researcher Gray said, “Humans have a remarkable ability to adapt to different situations. Generally we imagine death to be a meaningless affair shrouded in loneliness. But the writings of death row patients and death row inmates are full of love, bond and meaning. The thing is quite unexpected, but it has happened in this case."
To conduct the study, the researchers first observed the blogs of some death row individuals with the disease. Next, the researchers asked ordinary people to write about imagining themselves on their way to death.
Observations show that positive feelings are expressed more in the writings of dying patients than normal people. It was even found that as patients approached death, their perception of death became more positive.
The next stage of the study compared the writings of death row inmates to the writings of ordinary people – who were similarly asked to imagine themselves as death row inmates. In this case also almost the same results are obtained.
But the researchers say they're not sure whether people who would normally die of age have similar perceptions of death.
