This pizza broke the record for longest pizza made in Italy last year. The length of that pizza made in Italy was 6082 feet. The length of the pizza made in California is 6333 feet or 1.93 km.
This gigantic pizza was created at the Auto Club Speedway in California by the collective efforts of many chefs and ordinary people. Representatives of the Guinness Book of Records have already recognized it as the world's largest pizza.
The weight of the pizza is 7808 kg. 3632 kg of flour, 1634 kg of butter and 2542 kg of salsa sauce were used to prepare it.
The three ovens used in the factory are kept running for eight hours straight to make the pizza.
According to organizers, the open-for-all pizza-making event is a celebration of humanity and friendship.
All proceeds from this event are donated to food banks and homeless shelters.
