11 people including Bangladeshis died in fire in Saudi Arabia

The Dhaka Times Desk Eleven migrant workers died due to smoke suffocation due to a fire in a windowless house in Saudi Arabia yesterday (Wednesday). All the victims are Bangladeshis and Indian nationals.

According to international news media, after a fire broke out in an old house, firefighters arrived and brought the fire under control. However, due to the lack of windows, the 11 people died before that because the air could not enter. Another 6 people were injured. All the victims are Bangladeshis and Indian nationals.

It should be noted that several fire incidents have occurred in Saudi Arabia recently. Moreover, the number of deaths of residents including Bangladeshis is increasing day by day due to road accidents and other reasons. According to a 2015 statistic, there are 9 million foreigners working in the country. Most of them are from South Asia.
