Basically, such initiatives have been taken with the intention of collecting money for the people of the war-torn areas of Syria. A group of cyclists including three Bangladeshis are participating in this journey.

According to a report by Saudi Arabia-based media Al Arabiya, 8 young people have taken this initiative to collect 1000,000 pounds for the treatment of Syrian people in addition to performing Hajj. All of them are members of a donor organization called 'Human Aid'.

Out of the 8, 3 are of Bangladeshi origin and 4 are British of Pakistani origin. There is also a UK resident.

They plan to cycle from London to New Haven, UK. From there it will be shipped to France. After that they will start the journey again by bicycle. From Paris, the capital of France, they will reach Italy by cycling through Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein.

They will reach Venice, Italy and catch the ferry again. After reaching Greece by ferry, after some cycling, they will cross the sea and start their journey by air. 8 The Hajj journey will end after reaching the city of Madinah from Yanbu in Saudi Arabia.

In the past, this organization called 'Human Aid' has helped the people of Syria in various ways. This year, together with various organizations in the UK and Malaysia, they have sent 80 to 85 ambulances to Syria. It has been informed that the money collected this time will be used to repair the ambulances and buy the necessary equipment for them.

It should be mentioned that this initiative of Hajj by bicycle was planned by a person named Abdul Wahid. He converted to Islam 11 years ago.

Wahid told the media, 'I like cycling. I also want to go to Hajj. So can't we travel like the old days?'

It should be noted that earlier in 2015, Abdul Wahid went to Saudi Arabia from London by bicycle. Then he realized that it is possible to reach Saudi Arabia in this way to perform Hajj. And so he took this initiative.
