The Dhaka Times Desk Recently an app called SARAT has been developed in India which is able to locate people and various objects lost at sea due to accidents.
The app is developed by Indian National Center for Ocean Information Service. This app can help in finding a total of 64 types of lost objects including boats, ships and people. The web version of the app has already been released. In future it can be downloaded from Google Play.
The app will help the Indian Coast Guard, Navy and Coastal Security Police to quickly locate missing persons and objects in the event of an accident at sea. The app works by using a network of buoys and various devices in the sea.
