HSC Exam Results Released: Average Pass Rate 68.91 Percent

The Dhaka Times Desk HSC Result 2017 has been released today. The average pass rate is 68.91 percent. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the result summary to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganabhaban today (Sunday). The chairmen of the education board were present at this time.

A total of 37 thousand 726 students got GPA-5 in HSC this year. Last year the pass rate in this exam was 74.70 percent, 58 thousand 276 people got GPA-5. Due to the change in the evaluation system, the pass rate has decreased in higher secondary and equivalent examinations as well as in secondary.

According to that calculation, the pass rate in higher secondary has decreased by 5.79 percentage points. On the other hand, the number of students who got perfect GPA has decreased by a total of 20 thousand 550 people.

This year HSC and equivalent exam 2017 started on April 2. This time 11 lakh 83 thousand 686 candidates participated in this examination under 8 General Education Boards, Madrasas and Technical Boards. The theory (written) test ended on May 15. The practical exam starts on 16th May and ends on 25th May.
