'Sayyed Mosque' is an ancient and historical mosque in Iran. This mosque is located in the city of Janjan, the capital of Janjan province, Iran. It is also a Madrasa. However, this building is better known by the name of the mosque.
It is known that this mosque was built in 1826 during the reign of one of the children of Fateh Ali Shah Qajar. It was built by who during his lifetime the mosque was known by many names. As the mosque was called Dara, Masjid Sayyid, Masjid Sultani and Masjid Juma, this mosque was also called.
The Sayyid Masjid complex is well-known for its unique historicity as the most beautiful and grandest structure among Janjan's Dini Madrasahs and Mosques. This mosque is built in a system of hanging balconies around the courtyard. The yard is 48 meters long and 36 meters wide. The rectangular open courtyard is one of the attractions of the mosque. There are four rooms under the hanging porch at the four corners of the courtyard. These rooms provide accommodation for the students of Dini Madrasa.
